Day 146

Today I woke up around 2pm:) Did the routine..then headed off to my last day of coaching:( I put in my ipod and started the trek to the gym..happy to find that a little more snow had melted off the ground..and i could actually see the gravel on the road:) So that made me happy..less of a chance of me slipping..still a chance..but i felt good about my odds today. Usually I have to focus pretty hard..i always slip..I dont always fall..but i still give myself a heart attack everytime i come close! A few times I have eaten shit pretty hard. A couple weeks ago being one of them..i was turning a corner and in a hurry to get to the bus station to meet my team..and boom i slipped and fell..landed not even on my butt..but on my back..it was hard! I got up so fast and looked around..thank god no one was watching..but there were cars driving by..so i'm sure they got a good laugh. Anyway..so at practice today we just let the girls play..they played like 5 games to 15 then practice was over! I'm going to miss them..I'm proud of myself for doing it..and i actually had a pretty good time..so it was a worthwhile experience:) After practice i came home..made some food and thought I'd start a little project. I'm writing letters to the girls on my team and all of my friends here:) Just a little something to tell everyone how much Ive appreciated getting to know them..with little anecdotes of our time together:) Then I talked to Britty on skype..she got an offer from a team in Spain today! The money is really good..and the team has 3 americans..so i said go for it! But she was pretty hesitant because she said Spain was kind of shady when she played there last season. They didn't pay her on time..ever..and she was always scared they were going to end her contract if she had a bad game. So thats not too comforting to hear..so we'll see what she does. I just sent Steve another email..i'm going to upload a video from this season. I also facebooked my friend Darashaya, who plays for Solletuna, (another team in our league) and asked her if they were going to be looking for another middle after she leaves (she's a middle too). So we'll see what she says. Anyway..have to go to bed now..we have practice tommorow and i'm really excited:) Our next game is on Wednesday..i can't believe it..its coming so fast!
