Day 138

So after an okay nights rest on the train, i woke up and waited til we were at Stockholm Central station. We got off..and went and sat in this little area kind of secluded from the craziness and ate our breakfast that we packed for ourselves:) I had an apple and a ham sandwich with cheese and butter (a pretty common thing to have for breakfast here)..then me and josephine went and got coffee..definetely needed that! Then we got on another train that would take us to Katrineholm..which took about an hour. We got to Katrineholm, changed and had an hour practice to get our feet bodies moving after being on the train for like 15 hours! Practice was good..after that we ate lunch right there in the facility. It was a really nice gym.. they had an aquatic center, bowling alley, 2 gyms and a bunch of other stuff. So we ate at the bowling alley haha..we had spaghetti bolognese with salad. Then we had awhile before the game so I got dressed, put in my ipod and wandered around the facility..just to kind of be alone and get my head right for the game:) Then i went back in the locker room and took some pictures of what all the girls do before the game..Sara was reading Pam Anderson's autobiography which i though was a interesting chioce to get her pumped up for the game hahaha.. miyuki was reading too but just a translation dictionary haha..and everyone else was just laying around talking. Then Miyuki game me my usual pregame shoulder massage..she does this japanese thing where she like rubs my shoulder in a way that creates friction and makes it really warm and it doesnt feel like its doing anything at the time..the first time she did it i was like "What are you doing to me?" but when she was done it felt 200 times better!!! Shes a miracle worker with her japanese tactics:) Anyway, so i got my massage..we had a little team meeting and then we played..and lost in 3. It was the best game we've played and lost though. The scores were 22-25, 23-25, 26-24..so really really close..and we actually did play really well. They had an amazing setter and libero. Their setter is my height, ambidextrous(spelling?), and she can hit too. And their libero is on the swedish national team..so it didnt do us any good when we repeatedly kept hitting at her ugggh. It still sucked to lose..but i wa proud of the way we played..we had really good energy the whole game and we never gave up and came thisclose every game. After the game we ate at the bowling alley at the gym again..but this time we had hamburger pattys, and little potato wedges..not the healthiest..but we needed something heavy before our nightlong trainride..but we still stopped at ICA to get a few snacks for the train..K welll More Later!
xoxo Kerri
